High Speed Multi Media

We need to take a look at pritunl, which is a “Pritunl is an easy-to-use, open-source VPN server with an intuitive web management interface.”  Since it is available as a “one touch installation” it will be easier to setup and learn how it operates.

Still need to keep SoftEther in the picture too, between pritunl and softether there may be some good benefits in both.

VPN Tunnels

Been wanting to do some testing on VPN connectivity and SoftEther (a multi-protocol open source VPN program) came up.

Here are some benefits of SoftEther as mentioned on their web site:

SoftEther VPN is an optimum alternative to OpenVPN and Microsoft’s VPN servers. SoftEther VPN has a clone-function of OpenVPN Server. You can integrate from OpenVPN to SoftEther VPN smoothly. SoftEther VPN is faster than OpenVPN. SoftEther VPN also supports Microsoft SSTP VPN for Windows Vista / 7 / 8. No more need to pay expensive charges for Windows Server license for Remote-Access VPN function.

Still looking for a place to work on these projects again.  Any one with any experience using SoftEther, please let us know how things are going with your projects.

Network Configurations

Network Configurations – Let us start out with the very basic Ad-hoc network, in which users connect directly to each other.

Ad-Hoc Network

With the Add-hoc network it is possible to connect more than two stations, if each station is using a omni antenna (all direction) all stations can hear the others when within range.  But what happens when one is out of range of the others?
